VIP
What it is
VIP is a neuropeptide of the secretin and glucagon family, found in the gut, pancreas and nervous system. It acts on the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors and is a standard reagent in neuroimmunology and smooth-muscle research.
Where it has been studied
- VPAC receptor pharmacology
- Smooth-muscle relaxation assays
